I have this beautiful “daughter” who lives in the Philippines. In fact…she has sent me a “Happy Mother’s Day” text for years now.
We met through the Compassion Organization. We sponsored her during her growing up years beginning at the age of 3 or 4. We’ve sponsored many children through the years, but none have been as special as Kimberly. I feel as if I know her and her special family face to face…when in truth we’ve never met personally.
She is no longer with the Compassion program because she is all grown up! We continue our relationship through Facebook.
I’ve been praying for her because I’ve known that she would be getting married this April 20th.
We’ve prayed for good weather together and that everything would go really smoothly and that God would be glorified.
It was only April 19th here in the states when I opened up my computer and saw her wedding video. I looked at the date on my phone again. At first I felt confused and then I realized…she’s already celebrating a new day.
It was April 20th in her part of the world.
Do you realize it is always morning somewhere?
When we woke up this morning, someone across the world from us was just lying down to sleep. When they awake tomorrow, we will be on our way to sleep for the night.
God’s Word tells us that His mercies are new every morning.
In other words His mercies are always available to those who ask.
It is always morning somewhere.
Maybe this is the day you most need His mercies.
Let Him minister as only He can do.
Maybe this is the new morning that He is asking you to extend His mercies to someone in your life as well.
New days, New beginnings…God is always in the stage of creating. He’s creating you and who He desires you to become. He’s creating me and growing me to be more reflective of His image. I am ever so thankful for His Mercies in my life.
“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests
before you and wait it expectation”
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.
