“Jesus, Cow, Horsie, Goat”
These were the words in last night’s prayer from my 23-month-old grandson.
His little hands were folded, head bowed, and his heart sincere.
We had been to a farm together earlier that day.
I’m pretty sure he was thanking God for our day together and yes, praying for each and every animal he saw that day.
The simplicity spoke to me.
How many times do we as adults go on and on and on to the Lord and explain our situation as if He doesn’t know about it anyway.
We give Him “our take” on the situation.
We give Him “our opinion” on the situation.
And yes, we even give Him “our solution” to the situation.
Lord, Forgive us
Teach Us To Trust
Teach us to Pray
Teach us to come to you as your
Dearly Loved Children
“He called a little child to Him, and placed the child among them. And He said: Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in My Name welcomes Me.”
