“I spy with my little eye…
Something that is “green”…”
This is the game that we can now play in the car with our grandchildren.
They make me laugh because the item that they spy never seems to be in the car!
It’s that tree back there…or that bird that was back 3 miles!
I love hearing the little lisp in their voice as they say
“I spy with my little eye”…
It just makes my heart happy.
It has also made me stop and take a look at the things that surround me daily.
What do “I spy” today?
What can I open my eyes to see …that will show me the God of all creation?
Perhaps it’s …
The rain that is pouring down this morning
and nourishing my lawn and flowers
The rain that makes me stay indoors today and tend to that project that I’ve been desiring to get to.
Perhaps it’s watching…
God’s provision …as I watch different birds pick at my berry bushes.
I actually love that I can share my berries with God’s creation.
As it breaks through the clouds.
A brand new baby
My 2 month old grandson, who now smiles and coos
When I’m talking to him
The way I can commune and pray anytime and anywhere
The shade of a tree
The rainbow after a summer rain
The sound of the waves as they roll into the shore
The detour that I had to take
And the way it opened my eyes to new beauty around me in a fresh new way
That bring both release and cleansing
I challenge you to play a game of
“I Spy” today…
What is it that you see in your midst today?
May it allow you to stand in awe
Of Our Mighty, Great and Awesome God!
“Come and see what God has done, His awesome deeds for mankind.”
“For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.”
