What a day!
Tell me you’ve had them too.
I was on the phone ALL day long
Transferred from one department to the next
And back again.
As I painted and gardened and cleaned,
My little phone was on speaker the entire day.
This group says that I need to speak to a supervisor.
Please, that would be wonderful (I’m thinking)…
I get who I think is a supervisor, but they of course need to hear my entire story AGAIN,
Down to my name and address and it turns out that they are actually not a supervisor! Hmmm
This then takes me back to my never-ending circle of
Who will help me with my warranty?
This department states that another department will help and I get that department and they insist that the first department will help.
Bottom line – no one helped.
In fact, one person even lied.
He said he had scheduled someone to fix our problem.
I called to double check with that company and guess what…
No way…that appointment was never even made!
Oh, and did I mention how many times I was transferred…
Only to be disconnected!
(I’m thinking some of those were on purpose)
It was a day of great great anquish (atleast it seemed like it, on my end).
Just give me the proper department, no lies, no blaming, no squirming your way out…just honor your warranty.
There is a day coming.
It will be a terrifying day and a glorious day, all in one.
There will be no “passing the buck” on the Day of Judgment.
There will be no “other” department to blame.
There will be no “hold on…let me read your file yet again”.
There will be no lies.
All truth will prevail.
There will be no “disconnecting”.
The truth is
The company that I had to deal with today will
Probably get away with what they’ve done.
They will most likely break the warranty contract.
I will most likely have to pay out of my own pocket.
That’s just for today.
I don’t wish the Day of Judgment upon anyone,
But it will come
Because God’s Word says it will come.
Make sure you are ready.
There is only one way to be ready
And it’s not something we can do on our own.
We need Jesus, the Son of God, to become our personal Savior.
He stands today and knocks.
Let Him in…
Don’t put him on “hold” or “disconnect”.
He’s not only for eternity.
He is for Now too.
He alone helped me to not totally lose it with the people on the phone today.
He alone helps me to swallow and say…
It’s just a refrigerator.
He alone helps me to put things into perspective.
I know that He doesn’t lie.
He cannot lie.
He never disconnects.
He not only knows my name, but He knows the number of hairs on my head!
I’m not going to call that company again.
(I gave my poor husband that project)!
I’m going to pray.
I’m going to lean on God and trust in Him.
I’m going to try to do the best with what I’ve been given.
“For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”
2 Peter 3:7
“By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the Day of Judgment and destruction of the ungodly”
My prayer is Lord…
Open our eyes.
Help us to see truth and to understand.
Help us to cling to you.
YOU are the only way we will be able to stand
On that day
That will surely come.
