I had the best dream ever!
I hardly ever get to dream of my dad, but the other night was the best of the best.
I could see him so clearly.
He looked great and he was smiling from ear to ear.
I kept saying “It is SO good to see you”
“I’ve missed you”
“Oh, it’s so GOOD to see you!”
I heard his voice too. That deep resonating voice…with that little catch of an emotional chuckle.
He’s been gone since 2008, so it’s been a long time since I’ve heard his voice audibly.
In my dream, I kept saying…
“It’s so good to hear your voice”
and I meant it with every fiber of my being!
I loved my dad.
I still love my dad.
He no longer lives this side of eternity and I miss him.
It is so very rare that I get to see him in a dream.
I’m thinking this particular dream will play over and over in my mind for a long, long while.
It was SO GOOD to see him.
It was SO GOOD to hear his voice.
I ran to him in my dream and he had his arms wide open.
I could hear him laugh as he smiled.
It was a very special dream indeed.
You probably know where I’m going with this…
We will one day meet our Heavenly Father.
We will see Him face to face.
We will hear his voice audibly.
He will have his arms open wide and I believe He will be smiling!
This beautiful picture will not be a dream, but a reality
For those that have asked His wonderful Son into our lives.
We’ve accepted His amazing gift of salvation
And embraced it.
We know with all of our being that we could never enter into God’s Heavenly Kingdom on our own merit.
There is no one worthy.
It’s Jesus that has made the way.
I personally gave my life to Jesus when I was in college.
I had hit rock bottom in a rock bottom kind of way.
He turned my life of ashes into something so very beautiful.
While I enjoy life here…
I know that one day
I too will reach the other side of eternity.
I know that I know that I know
I will see Him face to face
And be embraced.
He loves you.
He’s made a way for you.
May He one day greet you with open arms and a smile. May you hear His perfect voice as He says:
“Well done, good and faithful servant”
1 Corinthians 13:12
“For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”
